Sip as you savor aerial stunts!
At the 2023 California Capital Airshow this September 23-24, you can sip craft brews and tasty libations while getting an impressive view of the USAF Thunderbirds as they soar high above Mather Airport and perform gravity-defying tricks.
A group of seven craft brewers and distillers from the Rancho Cordova Barrel District will be hosting the Airshow’s first-ever biergarten, called “The Hangar.” Tickets include a commemorative plastic tasting cup and seven 4-oz. tasters of locally-brewed craft beers, hard kombucha, bourbon, and more.
Admissions tickets that include access to The Hangar are now available but they are selling quickly. Keep reading to learn a few tips for buying your tickets!
1. Tickets to The Hangar will include admission access to the Airshow.
You do NOT need to buy general admission tickets for yourself if you are already buying biergarten tickets. A ticket to The Hangar will get you full access to the entire Airshow (free parking, all stunt shows, exhibits, food trucks, concerts, etc.) AND access to seating in The Hangar chalet (which includes shaded seating with tables).
2. Tickets to The Hangar give you access to even more sips and tastes.
Within The Hangar chalet, you will be able to purchase full-size beverages and food from two Sacto MoFo food trucks. Four local breweries, one distillery, one hard kombucha brewery, and one meadery from the Barrel District will be there. If you’re big fans of Strad Meadery, Shorebirds Brewing, J.J. Pfister Distilling Co., Movement Brewing, Burning Barrel Brewing, LogOff Brewing, or Fort Brock Brewing, this will be a lineup you won’t want to miss!
3. Youth and non-drinking tickets are available at a discount.
The Hangar is a family-friendly seating area. If you have children (or friends and family who do not wish to drink) and you want to sit together inside The Hangar chalet, they will need to have a Youth or Designated Driver ticket. Please be aware that because this chalet is a special VIP area, youth tickets are not free.
4. Add-on tickets to The Hangar will NOT be available for purchase this year.
We’re sorry, but you will not be able to purchase add-on tickets to enter The Hangar chalet if you enter the Airshow with a general admission ticket. This is the inaugural kickoff for this annual biergarten. The team hopes the community loves it so much that it’s around for years to come! We are considering adding more ticket options in the future.
